We'll handmake your ring just how you want it!
You can have as much creative input as you wish in the design of your own unique ring.
You don't have to be able to draw. - You don't even need to arrive with a firm idea in mind.
You'll deal directly with one of the skilled goldsmiths from our workshop, who will guide you through the design process.

Why design your own wedding ring?
There are plenty of ready-made wedding rings on the market, and you could just walk into a jeweller’s and choose one from a tray of rings in stock. You could even pick one from a catalogue or on-line store.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with buying a factory made, off-the-shelf, mass-produced wedding ring. – Let’s face it; that’s what most people do!
But your wedding rings should be special!
These are the rings that you will place on one another’s fingers as you make your vows, and they will be there as a symbol of your commitment to one another for the rest of your life!
It's nice to know that nobody is wearing a ring quite like yours. (Except, maybe, your partner!)
Every client is different, as is every commission, so the process can vary, but generally it goes something like this...

Make an Appointment
You give us a call, and have a brief chat about your requirements.
We then check our diaries to find an available time slot that will best suit you.
Come for a Consultation
We meet to discuss your requirements in detail, to get as much information from you as possible, so we truly understand what you are trying to achieve.
There is no obligation to buy.
STOCK RINGS
We keep in stock a good selection of rings that you can try on. These are useful for inspiration, and for finding the most suitable metal-type, band-width, profile etc.
Price Calculation
Once we know the exact specifications we calculate material and labour costs for creating the item.
We can then provide you with a no-obligation quotation, based on the price of metal on the day. (Precious metal prices change constantly.)
Order
When you place an order we require a deposit of 25% of the total price.
The price is fixed at that point, because this is when we purchase the metal. (We also agree a date for the completion of your ring.)
Creation
Now we can go ahead and make your ring!
We let you know when it is ready to collect.

You pay the balance on collection.

The first step is to call for a brief initial chat.
Since 1985 Aurum designer-jewellers has worked with thousands of couples, creating the wedding rings that are perfect for them.
We don't have sales staff, so you'll speak with someone who actually makes rings. A goldsmith from our workshop will guide you through the design process. Between us we'll come up with a design that's perfect for you.

Designed to fit your engagement ring
If your engagement ring does not sit comfortably with a straight wedding ring, we can produce a bespoke fitted wedding ring that is shaped to sit perfectly alongside it.

Matching wedding rings
Do you like the idea of matching wedding rings?
If you and your partner have similar tastes, we can make rings that are virtually identical, but scaled to fit the finger-size or each.
However, if you have different tastes, we'll look for design elements that appeal to both of you.
It might be just the material, or some design feature that will mark them out as a pair.
The examples shown here are a dainty ring set with diamonds, for the bride, and a chunkier plain version for the groom.
Men's wedding rings
There is no real difference between women's and men's rings.
All of our rings are made to individual requirements.
Some brides want a wide ring, and some grooms prefer a narrow band. It's all down to personal preference.
We scale your ring to suit you, and many of the wedding rings shown on this site are men's rings.
