A ring on its own
Carved bands are most popular as men’s wedding rings, and they appeal to those who want something "a bit different".
This style can also be suitable as a lady's wedding ring, provided it is not going next to an engagement ring.
If set with diamonds, it could serve a combined engagement and wedding ring.
These examples show a few possibilities you might like to consider.
This is how we do it
We always start by making a straight wedding band that is slightly wider than the desired finished width.
You can choose platinum, palladium or gold, or maybe, a combination of metals.
We then carve the band, using traditional hand-tools such as files and burrs.
The carving can be as subtle or as dramatic as you wish, and with the profile you prefer.
This example in platinum has been given a simple matte finish.
Plain or with design embellishments
Once we have achieved the carving you want, we can finish your ring in a variety of ways.
You might prefer it simply polished or matted, or you might like a texture, maybe a hammered or engraved finish.
Most of the designs shown on this website as conventional straight wedding rings could also be made in carved wedding versions.
Alternatively, you might like to add a little something extra, such as a texture, or some inlaid stripes of a different metal.

How about some diamonds?
Another possibility is to add some diamonds.
Again, there are lots of choices to be made concerning the number of stones, their positions, and the method of setting.
