You will probably have noticed that we have not put prices on any of our designs shown on this website. The reason we do not show prices is that, because our work is made on a "one-off" basis, we are able to create many different versions of any given design, all at different prices. Obviously, our existing stock pieces all have prices, but normally we could make a version at perhaps half the price of the one in stock, and another version at twice the price of the stock item, and a hundred other versions between the two extremes! The price of each piece of our jewellery is individually calculated, taking into account the cost of metal and stones, and the amount of time spent in creating the item. When undertaking a commission, we can work to the price-range of an individual client. If we know roughly what you want, and how much you wish to spend we can tailor the design to suit your budget. With an engagement ring, for example, we can estimate how much of your overall budget will be taken by the metal and labour of the particular style you have selected. Whatever is left is the sum available to go into the stone(s). It is then quite straightforward for us to calculate what size of stone you could have in a ring of that type. We can make engagement rings from around £1,000, and wedding rings from around £200, (although the majority of our clients spend quite a bit more). We will always try to accommodate whatever budget you specify, (provided it is realistic) so please don't hesitate to call us to discuss possibilities. With any given design, weights and stone sizes can be scaled up or down, according to what you want to spend. Obviously, the more you pay, the more you get. If you are able to come and look at our stock rings, you will see how prices can vary with the weight of metal and the size of stones, in what might be otherwise 'identical' rings. If we find that your ideas are not possible to produce for the price-range you have indicated, we will tell you at the outset and, if you wish, suggest some alternatives. We are always happy to discuss your requirements, and offer advice and estimates without obligation. If you would like a price for particular item, please contact us. It is much better to phone rather than e-mail, because it will probably be necessary for us to ask you a few questions about your requirements, so we have all the information we need to calculate a price for you.
