A Flick engagement ring in platinum with a round brilliant-cut diamond in a rub-over setting. This example has a brushed matte-finish, and has two accent diamonds on one shoulder. The flick ring is shown here alongside a matching wedding ring. Because of the straight side on the engagement ring, the wedding ring sits perfectly against it without any gaps. This makes the rings very comfortable to wear.

A platinum Flick engagement ring with an 0.38ct brilliant-cut diamond. This example is gypsy-set on one shoulder with two small diamonds, which enhance the band of the ring without detracting from the main diamond. The matte platinum gives a good contrast against the brilliance of the fine quality diamonds.  As with all our engagement rings, we start from scratch every time, so every little detail  can be chosen to suit the taste of the indididual client. The the width and the depth of the band, the size of the diamond, and the height of the setting are just a few of the specifications that can be customised.

18ct red gold and platinum are combined to create this two-colour engagement ring with fine quality diamonds. The Flick is a contemporary solitaire diamond engagement ring that is handmade in platinum and 18ct yellow or red gold.

A marquise diamond engagement ring in platinum and 18ct red gold. This is a polished version, but is also available with a matte finish. This striking modern engagement ring can be made with diamonds of any size to suit individual requirements.

A platinum and diamond engagement ring with a marquise diamond set in platinum. Choose a diamond size to suit your budget. The band can be made as chunky or as dainty as you wish, and small diamonds can be set into the band if required.

A pink sapphire engagement ring in our popular Flick style. Not all sapphires are blue! This ring has an oval pink sapphire of just over 1 carat, set in a rub-over setting, with two small accent diamonds set on one shoulder. This handmade engagement ring can be created with sapphires of any size, and in a variety of colours.

A platinum engagement ring with a single diamond weighing 0.36ct. This is a dainty version of the Flick engagement ring. The band is a little lighter than most of the rings we make, and would suit someone who is looking for a classic diamond engagement ring with a difference.

The Flick engagement ring is available in platinum and 18ct gold or a combination of both, in either a highly polished or a matte finish set with D-colour diamonds, in round brilliant, oval & marquise cuts, from 0.25ct. We also make versions with other stones, including sapphires, of various colours and shapes.

At Aurum designer-jewellers near Brighton we always keep a good selection of these unusual contemporary engagement rings in stock, but most of our clients prefer to have a unique engagement ring tailored to their specific requirements. Unlike most modern engagement rings, ours are made by hand. As we start from scratch every time, we can offer all sorts of variations to make each one a unique engagement ring.

The chunkier versions tend to look more contemporary than the lighter and daintier versions, that are closer to the scale of a classic solitaire engagement ring.

Naturally we also produce wedding rings to wear alongside a Flick engagement ring, and these are generally created specifically to suit the individual engagement ring.

* Many traditional and modern engagement rings do not work well with a straight wedding ring, and it is necessary to have a fitted wedding ring that is shaped to fit with it.
